Getting Ready in the Mushroom House at Terrain at Styer’s
The day began quietly, tucked away in the Mushroom House at Terrain. With its warm textures, soft light, and cozy atmosphere, it set the tone for what would become a genuine and beautiful day. Carina got ready surrounded by close friends, laughter, and the gentle hum of excitement in the air. Meanwhile, Hily was just a few steps away, also preparing for the day ahead. One of the things I love most about a Terrain at Styers wedding is how connected everything feels, with no rushing between venues or worrying about logistics. It lets the whole day flow organically.
A Sweet First Look & Whimsical Portraits
After getting ready, Carina and Hily met for a first look, and it was a lovely and intimate moment. A light rain had just begun to fall, gentle and quiet.
Carina’s bridal bouquet was an absolute dream. It had that perfect garden-style feel with roses, ranunculus, delphinium, and other seasonal blooms. It felt like she was holding a piece of the Terrain gardens in her hands. We took some time to explore the venue, sneaking in portraits both indoors and outside, despite the rain. Terrain at Styer’s has no shortage of stunning locations, from ivy-covered walls to greenhouse nooks; every corner tells its own story.
A Garden-Inspired Indoor Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside, with the lush living wall as the backdrop. Simple wooden chairs created a warm, inviting space for guests, while the atmosphere remained peaceful and full of love. They exchanged vows in front of their closest loved ones, surrounded by soft greenery and the earthy charm that Terrain does so effortlessly well.

After the ceremony, we slipped outside for a few more Terrain at Styers wedding portraits in the garden. The rain had slowed, leaving everything fresh and glowing. The way Carina and Hily moved through the garden, hand in hand, laughing and soaking in every second, was the kind of moment you hope every couple gets on their wedding day. And as a fun bonus, I was able to get some breathtaking drone photos of them among the winding paths and floral pockets of the Terrain grounds. Guests shared a delicious dinner and ended the night with the sweetest cake-cutting moment. The make-your-own s’mores station was a crowd favorite, adding a fun, cozy touch that perfectly captured the couple’s love for camping and nature. The personal and playful details are what made this Terrain at Styers wedding feel so special and true to them.
As the evening progressed, Carina and Hily danced with their loved ones under the soft glow of the café lights. The wedding stayed true to itself, romantic, editorial, filled with flowers, and entirely reflective of the couple at its core.
